Thank you to everyone who joined the PA Science DMZ on September 9th for a full day "CyberAccelerate" Roadshow hosted at Bucks County Community College in Newtown, PA. Twenty-eight attendees participated in discussions about how the PA Science DMZ can accelerate science and education drivers at small institutions across Pennsylvania and learned more about how to access and utilize free advanced cyberinfrastructure resources through a presentation by NSF Program Officer Dr. Amy Apon. Keep an eye out for more "CyberAccelerate" events throughout this fall!

The PA Science DMZ, Institute for Computational and Data Sciences, and the entire Penn State community are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Dr. Jenni L. Evans, professor emerita of meteorology and atmospheric science and director emerita of ICDS.
A global leader in tropical cyclone research, Dr. Evans played a pivotal role in developing the Cyclone Phase Space framework, which is now standard in operational forecasting. Under her guidance, ICDS grew from just 15 members to nearly 100, laying the groundwork for a robust computational science network at Penn State. Dr. Evans was Principal Investigator of the NSF CC* Pennsylvania Science DMZ at its inception.
Her legacy as an inspiring educator and mentor lives on through the many students and colleagues she guided.
